Lakes Committee meeting

The Lakes Committee will discuss whether the requirements and performance standards in Belgrade’s land use ordinances adequately protect water quality when it meets at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 25, at the Town Office, 990 Augusta Road. Joining the discussion will be George Seel, chairman of the Town's Comprehensive Plan Implementation Oversight Committee and a member of the Planning Board. The Lakes Committee considers, researches and discusses issues, concerns and other matters that impact the community’s greatest natural resource – its lakes. The Lakes Committee works in partnership with the 7 Lakes Alliance, local lake associations, other towns that share Belgrade’s lakes, and other stakeholders in addressing lake-related matters. The committee serves as an advisory body to the Board of Selectpersons. Its recommendations will be brought to the Selectboard for discussion and consideration.
