Selectboard meeting

The five-member elected Board of Selectpersons will conduct a public hearing on and consider at remote meeting policy when it meets at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 20. The meeting will be conducted online via Zoom at https://us02web.zoom.us/j/81131427984. All Town board and committee meetings are open to the public. The Selectboard serves as Belgrade’s governing body on matters that are not statutorily required to be approved by the voters. The Board’s duties include recommending a budget and most ordinances for voter consideration, approving expenditures and Town policies, appointing members to Town boards and committees, and hiring and evaluating the Town Manager, who oversees the Town's day-to-day operation on the Board's behalf.

This will be the last fully remote Selectboard meeting. Beginning in August, board and committee members will be meeting in-person unless they fall within some narrower parameters of a new remote meeting policy. Citizens will still be able to participate and engage remotely, thanks to some new technology the Town has acquired.
