Kennebec County Budget Committee District 3 Caucus

The Town of Belgrade has offered to host the District Three caucus for the selection of a County Budget Committee member. The caucus will be at 5 p.m. Monday, March 7, in the Town Office, 990 Augusta Road. District Three is represented by County Commissioner George Jabar II and includes the communities of Albion, Belgrade, Benton, Clinton, Oakland, Rome, Waterville, Winslow and Unity Township.
Each year one seat becomes open in each district with the start of the annual budget process. However, two seats are now open. The caucus will select one elected and one appointed municipal official to serve a three-year term on the county budget committee. The committee members are not limited by term limits and many serve multiple terms.
