Solar farm informational meeting

The developers of a proposed solar farm along the Oakland Road are hosting a public information meeting at 6:15 p.m. Wednesday, March 9, at the Center for All Seasons, 1 Center Drive along Route 27 in the Village.
The developer has submitted a permit application to the Maine Department of Environmental Protection. The proposed site includes 36 acres of fenced area on the west side of Route 8/11 and south of Burton Woods Road. The project would generate up to 4.95 megawatts of electric power. The project would also consist of access roads, underground infrastructure and overhead electrical lines.
