On the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month, Union Church of Belgrade Lakes will toll its bells for two minutes Wednesday in observance of Veterans Day.
Originally called Armistice Day to commemorate the end of World War I, Veterans Day honors all of those who have served the country in war or peace, and have sacrificed for our freedoms.
