Comprehensive Plan Implementation Oversight Committee meeting

The Comprehensive Plan Implementation Oversight Committee will discuss an agenda for an upcoming joint meeting of its members and the Planning Board and Lakes Committee when it meets at 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 16, at the Town Office, 990 Augusta Road. Planning Board Chair Peter Rushton and Lakes Committee Chair Pat Donahue will also participate in the discussion, as will Charlie Baeder of the 7 Lakes Alliance. The joint meeting at 6 p.m. Wednesday, April 27, at the Center for All Seasons will explore how each Town committee can help ensure proper management of the watershed, which impacts lake water quality. The Comprehensive Plan Implementation Oversight Committee tracks the Town’s progress toward implementing the Belgrade Comprehensive Plan’s recommendations, approved by voters in 2014. The committee is responsible for presenting to the Selectboard its findings and to make recommendations on how best to implement the plan. Actual implementation of most of the plan’s recommendations falls to various existing town committees, boards and officials with responsibility for those subject areas. It meets at 6 p.m. on the third Wednesday each month at the Town Office, 990 Augusta Road.
