Center for All Seasons

The Center for All Seasons sits on the banks of Great Pond at 1 Center Drive along Route 27 in the village. The center serves as the hub for many of Belgrade’s most important gatherings, including Town Meeting, the Fire Department’s annual Beanhole Supper, elections, charity fundraisers, the annual Daddy-Daughter Dance, and arts and crafts shows.

This year, the center’s siding has been renovated, and, with financial assistance from Efficiency Maine and The Nature Conservancy of Maine, the center’s indoor and outdoor lighting has been upgraded to LED fixtures. Together, the projects have brightened both the center’s exterior and its interior.

The center features a gymnasium and an outdoor court, both with basketball hoops; a playground; a space that houses the collection of the Belgrade Historical Society; a full kitchen; an outdoor swimming pool; a complement of kayaks, canoes and paddleboards; a meeting space; a veranda … and a lovely view of Great Pond, the inspired setting for the play and movie On Golden Pond.

The Center for All Seasons also hosts many private affairs. Check the rentals page for information about leasing the facility.

North Belgrade Community Center

The North Belgrade Community Center, 508 Smithfield Road (Route 8), offers another local gathering spot, along with a small playground for young children. The North Belgrade Community Center hosts the Belgrade-Rome Special Needs. Food Pantry. Open from 9 a.m.-11 a.m. each Tuesday, the food pantry is operated by volunteers and supported by contributions placed in food baskets in local churches, businesses and public buildings, including the Town Office and the local post offices. Cash donations are also accepted. The North Belgrade Community Center also hosts a community potluck supper on the last Saturday night each month.
