Belgrade Public Library
Our mission
Our mission is to provide access to general library collections and information to the local population. These resources, reflecting identified needs, shall be delivered in a spirit of community service.
Library services
The Belgrade Public Library is here to provide our community with a variety of services including book lending, free WiFi access, and computer assistance. Patrons are welcome to browse our collection, request materials through our inter-library loan service, and take part in our Spring and Summer programs.
The Library also offers online resources, including a digital catalog and e-books, at townofbelgrade.com/onlineresources.
Book Group
The Belgrade Public Library Book Group, established nearly 20 years ago, is open to all who enjoy reading and sharing ideas about books. It meets year-round on the second Tuesday of every month at 10:30 am. Anyone interested in participating remotely can contact Library Director Jared Bond at 207-495-3508 or LibraryDirector@TownofBelgrade.com for the link to the meeting.
Race and Relationships Group
This group has been meeting monthly since August, 2020 to provide a format for members to gain a better understanding of racial issues in the US and to examine our own attitudes about race. The group meets via Zoom at 7:00 pm on the third Thursday of each month and engages in wide-ranging discussions based on readings of fiction and non-fiction as well as relevant films and other video resources. Anyone interested in participating can contact Library Director Jared Bond at 207-495-3508 or LibraryDirector@TownofBelgrade.com for further information.
