Property taxes are due Sept. 3. Payments must be received no later than that date to avoid penalties and interest. Payments may be mailed to the Town Office, 990 Augusta Road, Belgrade, ME 04917; or brought to the office between 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. weekdays, except on Thursdays when it is open until 7 p.m. Payments are also accepted over the phone by calling 207-495-2258 and online at this link. Online payments incur a fee of $1 for payments up to $40; phone payments and online payments of more than $40 incur a fee of 2.5 percent.
Bills have been mailed to property owners. They are also posted in alphabetical order at townofbelgrade.com/2021taxbills.
The Board of Selectpersons adopted a mil rate of 15.38 for the third straight year. This year, 75.07 percent of your tax payment will support RSU 18, the public school system that serves Belgrade; 8.48 percent will support county government; and the remaining 16.45 percent will support the Town’s municipal government.
