Services limited through April 30 during stay-at-home order
Event Date:
Tuesday, April 28, 2020 (All day)

The Town of Belgrade is limiting services during the governor's stay-at-home mandate, which extends to April 30.

The Belgrade Fire & Rescue Department will continue to respond to calls. The Transfer Station remains open for its normal operating hours of 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Wednesdays and 7 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturdays. The collection of recyclables has been temporarily suspended. Bottles and cans can be bagged and placed in one of the three bottle boxes that support local charitable efforts. Residents are urged to maintain safe social distances of more than 6 feet with one another and with Transfer Station staff.

The Town Office remains closed to the public. Citizens may continue to access online services at townofbelgrade.com/onlineservices. Phones will be forwarded to a staff member, who will seek to answer questions and will take messages for requests for re-registrations by phone. However, the State of Maine has granted an extension for registrations until after the public health crisis. Re-registrations may also be completed online. The Town Office number is 207-495-2258.

The Center for All Seasons and the Belgrade Public Library also remain closed to the public. The library's online services, including e-books, audiobooks and access to Digital Maine Library, can be accessed at townofbelgrade.com/onlineresources.

Citizens with questions and concerns may contact Town Manager Anthony Wilson at townmanager@townofbelgrade.com or 207-592-6031.
