The Belgrade/Rome Special Needs Food Pantry is adopting the state’s new COVID guidelines, which are based on Centers for Disease Control recommendations.
Clients visiting the pantry in the North Belgrade Community Center, 508 Smithfield Road (Route 8), will again be allowed to enter the facility and place their orders, as they did prior to the pandemic. Masks are recommended, but not required.
The CDC has stated that fully vaccinated people no longer need to wear a mask or physically distance in any setting, except where required by federal, state or local laws, rules and regulations. The Town of Belgrade will be following the state and CDC guidelines in its facilities, effective May 24.
Clients may still visit the pantry every two weeks. The pantry is open 9 a.m.-11 a.m. each Tuesday.
