Selectboard online meeting

Event Date:
Tuesday, April 21, 2020 - 6:30pm

Because of the ongoing public health concern and the governor's stay-at-home order, the Belgrade Board of Selectpersons is temporarily conducting its meetings online.

The meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. and can be accessed via a desktop, laptop, tablet or smartphone at https://zoom.us/j/963032016. A user's device must have a microphone to participate in the discussion. Activating a device's camera will allow the user to also be seen. The public can post questions either by typing them in the chat bar on the right-hand side of the screen or clicking a "raise hand" feature in the chat function to gain the Board chair's attention. The chairman will recognize those wishing to speak in order to maintain a decorous meeting.

The agenda, which is posted below, includes an update on the RSU 18 school budget process and consideration of paving bids at the Transfer Station.

Because of the ongoing public health concern, the state Legislature recently approved a bill to allow municipal governing bodies to meet remotely for as long as the governor's emergency order is in effect, plus an additional 30 days. The Belgrade Selectboard opted to meet on Zoom, a user-friendly videoconferencing platform. Zoom will not only allow Selectpersons to meet remotely, the public will be able to watch, listen and participate in the discussion.

Questions about the online meeting can be directed to Town Manager Anthony Wilson at townmanager@townofbelgrade.com or 207-495-2258.
