Gay Grant Presents - Historical Images from Along the Kennebec

Fans of Gay M. Grant’s book, Along the Kennebec River, The Herman Bryant Collection will enjoy these more than 200 newly released images including some of the Belgrade region taken by gifted South Gardiner photographer, Herman Bryant (1858-1937). Now part of the Maine State Museum, Bryant’s work documents late – 19th and early 20th century life in the Kennebec valley region during its industrial heyday. New information about Bryant and his family reveals fascinating stories about the people and places captured in his photographs.

Gay will give a PowerPoint presentation with lots of pictures from her new book on Wednesday, September 14 at 6:30 pm at the Belgrade Public Library. Any questions please call the library at 495-3508.
